Caffeine subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You are charged at the start of each billing period — monthly or annually depending on your billing choice. Annual billing saves approximately 20% compared to monthly.
To manage your subscription and payment details: Profile avatar → Membership → manage via the Stripe Customer Portal.
Payment methods
Caffeine accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. The currency is USD. Payment is processed automatically at the start of each billing period.
To update your payment method: go to the Stripe Customer Portal from your Membership settings.
Business billing and tax IDs
If you are subscribing or purchasing credits on behalf of a business, you can provide your business name, billing address, and tax ID (such as a VAT number or EIN) at checkout. Caffeine collects this information automatically during the Stripe checkout flow — you do not need to contact support to add it.
Providing a valid tax ID may affect whether tax is applied to your invoice, depending on your country and tax registration status. Stripe handles the validation and display of your tax ID on receipts.
Refund policy
Caffeine does not offer refunds for subscriptions, as stated in the Terms of Use. There is no refund window after a charge.
If you believe you were charged in error, contact support via Profile avatar → Get help.
Payment failures
If a payment fails, your subscription credits expire immediately and your account reverts to the Basic free plan. Daily credits continue. Stripe retries the payment automatically and will notify you to update your payment method.
To reactivate, update your payment method in the Stripe Customer Portal and resubscribe. Credits are restored only after Stripe successfully collects payment. If your credits have not appeared after a successful payment, contact support.
Billing cycles
You are charged on the same day each month (or annually, if on annual billing). The exact date is shown in the Stripe Customer Portal.
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period and your new plan takes effect immediately. When you downgrade, the change is scheduled for your next renewal date.
