The App Market is a gallery of apps built by Caffeine and the creator community. It is a place to find inspiration, see what others have built, and start new projects from existing apps instead of from scratch.
Browsing the App Market
The App Market is publicly accessible — you do not need an account to browse. Open it from the Caffeine home screen or navigate directly to the App Market. The Explore page shows trending and popular apps. From there you can:
- Search for apps by name
- Browse all apps with filters
- Browse apps by category
- View any app's detail page, including screenshots, description, and creator information
- See apps grouped by creator on creator profile pages
Searching for apps
A search icon is available in the App Market header on every page. Click it to expand a search bar and start typing. As you type, a dropdown appears showing matching apps — each result shows the app icon, thumbnail, title, creator name, like count, and remix count. Click any result to go directly to that app's detail page.
To see the full list of results, press Enter or click View all results at the bottom of the dropdown. This opens the Search page (/app-market/search), which displays all matching apps in a grid. If there are more results than shown, a count and a View more button appear at the bottom so you can load additional results.
When no search term is active, the Search page shows a strip of featured apps to help you explore.
On mobile, tapping the search icon opens a full-screen search overlay instead of an inline bar. The search query is preserved in the page URL (?marketSearch=), so you can share or bookmark a search.
Browsing by category
The Explore page shows a scrollable row of categories — such as Education, Games, Productivity, Shopping, Social Networking, and Travel. Click any category card to open its dedicated page, which lists all published apps in that category and shows you how many apps it contains.
On a category page you can sort apps by newest or most popular, load more results as you scroll, and use the "Other categories" strip at the bottom to jump to a different category. Each category page has a breadcrumb trail so you can quickly return to the Explore page.
Remixing an app
Remixing clones an app into your account as a new project. You start with the same code and can customize it however you like from there.
To remix: open any app's detail page and click Remix. Caffeine copies the app's code and assets into a new draft project in your account, then deploys it. The original creator's data is never included — only the application code is cloned.
If you do not have an account yet, clicking Remix automatically creates one for you — no sign-up form required. If you previously had an account and signed out, you will be directed to sign in first so your remix is added to your existing account.
Remixing is the recommended way to start building on the Free plan — it works on every plan and only spends your normal credits, while starting a new app from scratch requires an active paid subscription or on-demand credits. Once you have a remix in your account, you can iterate on it — add features, change the design, fix bugs, go live — using your daily credits, just like any other project.
Liking apps
You can like any published app to save it for reference and show appreciation to the creator. Your liked apps appear under Likes in the App Market sidebar. You can unlike an app at any time. Liking requires a Caffeine account — if you are not signed in, you will be taken to the sign-in page.
Creator profiles
Each person who publishes to the App Market has a creator profile — a public page showing their published apps, a short bio, and links to their social profiles. Click any creator's name or avatar to view their profile.
Reporting an app
If you find an app that violates the App Market guidelines, you can report it from the app's detail page. You must be signed in to submit a report.
Open the app's detail page, open the menu, and click Report. A dialog will appear asking you to:
- Select a reason — choose from: Inappropriate content, Copyright violation, Spam, Malicious code, Misleading information, or Other.
- Describe the reason — add details to help the Caffeine team review the report (up to 2,000 characters).
Click Submit report to send it. Reports are reviewed by the Caffeine team.
Publishing your own apps
If you want to share your own apps with the community, click Publish on app market in the App Market sidebar, or see the article on publishing to the App Market for full details. Publishing requires an active paid subscription.
Frequently asked questions
What does remixing include?
Remixing copies the app's code, frontend assets, and build artifacts into a new project. It does not include any user accounts, stored data, or content from the original live app. You get a clean copy of the codebase.
Can I remix my own apps?
Yes. Remixing your own published app creates a new project from its current code, the same as remixing anyone else's app.
Who can see my draft?
Only you. Drafts are never visible in the App Market. Only published apps appear to other users.
Can I unpublish an app I've published?
Yes. You can unpublish at any time from your creator profile or the app's edit page. Once unpublished, the app is removed from the App Market and is no longer visible or remixable.
Is the App Market available on all plans?
Browsing is open to everyone, including visitors without an account. Remixing is available on every plan, including the Free plan — clicking Remix will create an account for you automatically if you do not have one, and the resulting project can be iterated on using your daily credits. Remixing is also the recommended starting point for Free-plan users who want to build, since starting a new app from scratch requires a paid plan or on-demand credits. Publishing your own apps requires an active paid subscription.
Can I publish my own app to the App Market?
Yes. Click Publish on app market in the App Market sidebar to start the publish flow and list your live app for others to discover and remix. Publishing requires an active paid subscription.
How do I find apps in a specific category?
On the Explore page, scroll to the Categories row and click the category you want. Each card shows the category name and how many apps it contains. You can also browse to a category page directly using the URL /app-market/categories/<category-name>.
How do I search for an app?
Click the search icon in the App Market header. Type an app name or a creator's username and a dropdown of matching results will appear instantly. Press Enter or click "View all results" to open the full Search page with a complete list of matches.
Can I search by category or creator, or only by name?
Search finds apps by name and by creator username. Type a creator's username to see all their published apps in the results. To browse by category, use the Categories section on the Explore page. To see all apps from a specific creator in one place, visit their creator profile page.
