Caffeine offers a free plan and three paid tiers. All plans include access to the App Market for browsing and remixing apps. Paid plans include up to 200 projects and the ability to publish your own apps to the App Market. Premium features — custom domains, email sending, and app analytics — are available on Plus and above.
Annual billing saves approximately 20% compared to monthly.

Which plan should I choose?
Free is for exploring the platform and remixing apps from the App Market. You get up to 5 credits per day (capped at 25 per calendar month), can create up to 3 projects, and can work on all 3 in parallel. Daily credits cover remixing any App Market app and iterating on the remix — adding features, fixing bugs, going live. Starting a new app from scratch requires a paid plan or on-demand credits (top-ups, vouchers, or reward credits). No cost, no time limit.
Starter is for regular builders who don't need premium features. You get a meaningful monthly credit allowance, up to 200 projects, access to all core building capabilities, and the ability to publish apps to the App Market.
Plus is the most popular choice for serious creators. The credit allowance covers substantial building activity, and you unlock the features most creators want: custom domains for professional apps, email sending for user communication, and analytics to understand your audience.
Pro is for high-volume builders — people running multiple active apps and iterating frequently. The credit allowance is roughly four times that of Plus.
Paid-only features
Some features require any active paid subscription (Starter, Plus, or Pro):
- Building apps from scratch — starting a new project from a new conversation. Free users can still remix any App Market app and iterate on the remix using daily credits; only starting from scratch needs paid access. On-demand credits also unlock this — top-ups, voucher credits, and reward credits (such as the 20 credits you get for verifying your email) all count.
- Uploading code as a ZIP — replace your project's draft by uploading a ZIP file of your own code directly, without running an AI build
Premium features
Premium features are included on Plus and above:
- Custom domains — connect your own domain name to your live app instead of using the default Caffeine URL
- Email sending — your app can send emails to users: transactional notifications, email verification, marketing newsletters, and calendar invitations
- App analytics — view visitor counts, session data, and a geographic breakdown for your live app
These features are not available on the Free or Starter plans.
App Market publishing
Publishing your own apps to the App Market is available on all paid plans (Starter, Plus, and Pro). The number of apps you can have listed at one time depends on your plan tier. Browsing and remixing apps in the App Market is available on every plan, including the Free plan.
Introductory pricing
When you see a discounted monthly price on a paid plan, it is an introductory offer. These offers are available to new subscribers only — specifically, users who have not previously subscribed to any paid plan. The offer applies once per account. If you have held a paid subscription before, the standard price applies when you subscribe again.
Upgrading your plan
Upgrades take effect immediately. When you upgrade mid-cycle, you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period — you pay only for the days remaining, not the full month. Your new plan's credit allowance is added to your account right away.
If you previously cancelled your subscription and it is scheduled to end at the close of your current billing period, upgrading removes that pending cancellation. Your subscription will no longer be set to cancel — it continues on the new plan as normal.
To upgrade: Profile avatar → Membership / Upgrade → select your new plan.
You must have a verified email address before you can subscribe to a paid plan. If you have not yet confirmed your email, you will be prompted to do so when you try to upgrade. Check your inbox for a verification email from Caffeine, or request a new one from the confirmation screen.
Downgrading your plan
Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan's credits and features until the period ends — then the lower plan takes effect. Premium features (custom domains, email, analytics) stop working at that point if the new plan doesn't include them.
If you scheduled a downgrade and change your mind, you can cancel the pending downgrade from the same billing settings before the period ends.
Cancelling your subscription
To cancel: Profile avatar → Membership → manage via the Stripe Customer Portal.
Cancellation is also scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You continue to have full access to your current plan until then. After cancellation takes effect, your account reverts to the Free plan — up to 5 daily credits (up to 25 per month), no premium features.
Your apps and data are not deleted when you cancel. Live apps remain deployed but premium features stop working. Custom domains remain registered and continue routing traffic to your app, but become inaccessible inside the Caffeine platform — you cannot manage or reassign them without resubscribing.
Frequently asked questions
What are the differences between Free, Starter, Plus, and Pro?
The main differences are credit volume, project limits, and premium feature access. Free gives up to 5 daily credits (capped at 25 per month) with no monthly allowance, a limit of 3 projects, and parallel work on up to 3 apps at once. Starter adds 40 monthly credits, raises the project limit to 200, and unlocks the ability to publish apps to the App Market. Plus adds 110 monthly credits plus all premium features (custom domains, email, analytics). Pro adds 400 monthly credits for high-volume builders. Paid plans allow unlimited parallel app work.
Do paid plans include a monthly credit allowance on top of daily credits?
Yes. Every user gets up to 5 daily credits (capped at 25 per calendar month) regardless of plan. Paid plans add a monthly allowance: 40 (Starter), 110 (Plus), or 400 (Pro) on top of that. Credits always renew monthly — even if you are on annual billing, your credit allowance is refreshed every month, not once a year.
Which plans include premium features?
Plus and Pro. Custom domains, email sending, and app analytics are not available on Free or Starter.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan's benefits until then.
What is proration?
Proration means you are charged only for the portion of a billing period you use at a given plan level. If you upgrade halfway through a monthly cycle, you pay half the difference between your old and new plan for the remaining days.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. Switching takes effect immediately and is prorated — you are charged only for the remaining time at the new rate. Your billing cycle resets from the date of the switch.
Can I downgrade from Plus to Starter and keep my custom domain?
Your domain remains registered and continues routing traffic to your app. However, it becomes inaccessible inside the Caffeine platform on Starter — you cannot manage or reassign it until you upgrade back to Plus or Pro.
What happens to premium features if I downgrade or cancel?
They stop working at the end of your billing period. Email sending is disabled (existing code stays in your app but emails won't be delivered). Analytics stops tracking. Custom domains remain registered and keep routing traffic, but become inaccessible in the platform — you cannot manage them until you resubscribe. Data in your apps is not affected.
Why do I still see my old plan after downgrading?
Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period, not immediately. You will continue to see and use your current plan until the period ends.
Can I cancel a pending downgrade?
Yes. Go to Profile avatar → Membership and manage via the Stripe Customer Portal. You can cancel a scheduled downgrade before the billing period ends.
Do I need to verify my email before upgrading?
Yes. You must confirm your email address before you can subscribe to a paid plan. If your email is not yet verified, Caffeine will prompt you to complete that step when you try to upgrade. Check your inbox for the verification email, or request a new one from the confirmation screen.
How many projects can I have?
Free accounts can have up to 3 projects and can work on all 3 in parallel. Paid plans (Starter, Plus, Pro) raise the project limit to 200 and allow unlimited parallel work. If you reach the limit on your plan, you will need to delete an existing project or upgrade before creating a new one.
Is there a free trial of paid features?
There is no separate free trial of paid features. The Free plan lets you try the core building experience — primarily by remixing apps from the App Market and iterating on them with daily credits — indefinitely at no cost.
Can I build a new app from scratch on the Free plan?
Not directly. Starting a new project from scratch requires an active paid subscription (Starter, Plus, or Pro) or any on-demand credits in your account — top-ups, voucher credits, or reward credits like the 20 credits you get for verifying your email. The recommended Free-plan path is to remix an app from the App Market: remixing copies an existing app into your account as a new project, and you can then iterate on it with your daily credits. If you try to build from scratch without paid access or on-demand credits, Caffeine posts a message in the chat — "Subscribe to a paid plan to build new apps from scratch. Remixing and customizing existing apps stays free as long as you have credits." — with Subscribe and Browse the App Market buttons, and no build runs.
My daily credits are not enough to start a new app from scratch — why?
Daily credits cover iteration: changes to an existing project, including one you remixed from the App Market. They do not unlock starting a new app from scratch — that requires an active paid subscription or on-demand credits, regardless of how many daily credits are in your balance. To start from scratch you can subscribe, top up your account, redeem a credit voucher, or verify your email address to receive the 20-credit reward. If you would rather not pay or wait, remix an App Market app instead — it lands in your account as a new project that you can shape with your daily credits.
Are introductory prices available to everyone?
No. Introductory discounts are available to new subscribers only — users who have not previously held a paid Caffeine plan. The offer applies once per account. If you have subscribed before, the standard price applies.
Why am I being asked to verify my email before upgrading?
A confirmed email address is required before you can subscribe to a paid plan. If you see a prompt asking you to verify your email, check your inbox for the confirmation message and click the link inside it. Once your email is confirmed, return to the upgrade flow and select your plan.
Can I keep using Caffeine after cancelling?
Yes. After cancellation you move to the Free plan — up to 5 daily credits (up to 25 per month), up to 3 projects, core building features. Your existing projects and data remain intact; you can continue using them but cannot create new projects beyond the 3-project limit. If you had more than 3 projects before cancelling, your existing projects are unaffected — you just cannot create additional ones while on the Free plan.
